The El-Salomons Comedy Tour
The El-Salomons take the motto ‘make love not war’ very personally. Jess Salomon (hilarious comic) and Eman El-Husseini (also hilarious comic) met and fell in love at a comedy club in Montreal nearly a decade ago when a friend of theirs suggested, “you two broads should kiss”.
Jess is Jewish and Eman is Palestinian (basically enemies), one is a Taurus and one is a Leo (ENEMIES!!), but they somehow make it work. It’s probably the hummus.
Jess and Eman got married and left Canada for America right before the last election. They are famous for their love, their stand up and their ability to make really REALLY fantastic life choices.
This website is a project of love. Illustrated by Jesse Brown, these cartoons offer a view into the hilarious interactions Jess and Eman have with each other and with the world around them.
Have a peek through all the cartoons! Don’t be a hater, be a lover.

Comedian Eman El-Husseini
A Canadian, a Palestinian, a Muslim, and a lesbian walk into a bar … ladies and gentlemen, it’s just Eman El-Husseini. Yes, she’s all those catastrophic identities rolled into one — her life is a current event. From the Muslim ban to Palestinian rights and marriage equality to the ice cream truck that insists on parking in front of her building, it’s all happening and it’s happening to her, especially. Strap in and get comfortable, Eman has a lot to work through. In her decade-long comedy career, Eman has headlined across Canada, opened for Patton Oswalt, and recorded her first comedy album, “Unveiled,” which can be heard regularly on SiriusXM Radio. She currently lives in New York City, legally, thank you very much.
Jess Salomon is a Canadian comedian now based in New York, who has appeared on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
Jess handles dark, sometimes dirty and often political topics with a light touch. She’s the kind of comic where you think, oh we’re about to get a threesome story, but then it’s a sharp turn into a conversation on gender! But like, still fun.
Jess has done lots of cool festivals including Just for Laughs, JFL42, the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, the Laughing Skull Festival, San Francisco Sketchfest, and the 2018 New York Comedy Festival where she recorded her debut album, “All the Best Choices” now out with label, 800 Pound Gorilla Records.
She’s written for the award-winning sketch comedy show “Baroness Von Sketch” (IFC/CBC) and her comedy has aired on television in Canada on CBC and radio shows like SiriusXM’s “Canada Laughs” and CBC’s “LOL”.
Jess also performs as part of the beloved comedy duo, “The El-Salomon’s” with her wife Eman El-Husseini (@TheElSalomons). Their comedy special, “Marriage of Convenience” recorded at Just for Laughs, will be released in 2020 on Crave TV.
Fun fact: before comedy Jess used to be a U.N. war crimes lawyer. The jury is still out on whether this was a good move.
