Let's Get Social - Comedy Class with Ellen Acuario
Four-week comedy and social media class, the next session 6pm, beginning Oct 19th with a graduation Show on Thursday Nov. 11

Comedy with Social Media
A 4-class series with Ellen Acuario

You don’t have to want to be a stand-up to want to be funny online. This 4-class series with comedian Ellen Acuario is for anyone who wants to build a genuinely funny, authentic presence on social media — whether you’re an aspiring comic, a small business owner, a content creator, or just someone whose group chat says you should post more.

Ellen breaks down the same tools comedians use to find their voice and make people laugh, and shows you how to apply them to your own life and platform of choice.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why funny travels — how humor became a “face card” online for everyone from doctors to authors, and why a distinct comedic voice makes you more memorable and bookable, no matter your field
  • Finding your POV — how to mine your own life, identity, and quirks for material that’s authentically yours (not a copy of what’s trending)
  • Consistency and engagement — the discipline of showing up and posting regularly, and how genuinely engaging with your audience is what actually grows it
  • Bringing it to life — how to promote your content (or your first show, if you want one), get comfortable in front of a camera or a mic, and read your own content’s performance to keep improving

Each class includes homework — from your first short video to writing a joke from your own POV — with in-class showcases and peer/instructor feedback. The series wraps with individual 15-minute sessions with Ellen to work through your material one-on-one.

  • Cost: Only $300 for the 4 classes, including a Zoom break out session and the graduation performance.
  • Who can join: Everyone over the age of 18 is welcome!

Session Options:

  • Monday Starting October 19th 6:00 PM . Fraduation shows will be held on Thursday November 12th at 8pm
